Pastor White lives in semi-retirement on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia. Some might wonder why someone in his ninth decade might wish to spend his time and energy sharing through such a medium as a this site. The following statement by Pastor White gives some insight into the reason why:
"Why Do I Bother?
If you have been reading my articles and items expressing concern about the state of affairs and the decline of our Judeo-Christian culture in America, Australia and the West, you might be entitled to wonder, "Why does he bother? Why does he bother to do it at all and why does he bother people like me with such concerns; since it is obvious we do not occupy high positions of power and influence."
To begin with, I bother because I believe God bothers me to do so. I agree with Paul’s statement that if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound no one will prepare for the battle. The very fact that God has made available the wonderful digital communication tools we have today, means that even an 83 year old pastor, who is well past his use by date in some areas, has a responsibility to use them to the utmost of his capacity.
I also believe we can make a difference. God has always been the God of the two or three. Remember Gideon’s little band? Remember the handful of disciples who turned the world upside down? The examples are too numerous to enumerate. I also remember a very personal example in my own life story. How God used two or three of us to defeat a state government bent upon denying freedom of choice to real Christian Schools and Home Schoolers. The result was legislation by a new government that still ensures that freedom. When I send out articles it is with a prayer that those who receive it will take what action they can to alert others and do their duty as Christian citizens, at the ballot box in particular.
I bother because I believe we individually and collectively can still make a difference. In spite of the odds seemingly so stacked against us. I believe that greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. That it is not by mere might or personal power, but by His Spirit we can prevail over impossible odds..."
